What Riverwind is all about.....

We are located on a small farm in Oklahoma where we can enjoy the simple pleasures of life. We love living in a country setting, having lots of room for our family which includes two cats and five dogs. Our cats like to hang around the barn & explore the great outdoors. The dogs think they're more human and have the freedom to roam the farm and feel just as comfortable inside the house as out. The Riverwind pack consists of a rescued Border Collie and four wonderful Shiloh Shepherds.

We discovered the Shiloh Shepherd breed when researching for a guard dog. The description sounded perfect for our family. A large, impressive dog that could intimidate a stranger if needed while being a loyal & devoted companion, gentle & loving around children. Our Shilohs have very sweet temperaments and love giving "hugs" and getting belly rubs. They also provide us with the protection we need. Our definition of protection: Alerts us when someone enters our drive and puts on quite a show until told otherwise. While we started off only wanting a companion, our love for this breed led us on a journey we would never have imagined when we got our first puppy. We now show our Shilohs at shows, parades, pet expos, host specialty shows, involved in therapy work (TDI) and have become licensed breeders. We're also active members of the parent club, Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club of America (SSDCA) and our local chapter, Central SW States Chapter(CSSC) of the SSDCA . http://csscssdca.weebly.com/ We feel very blessed to have Shiloh Shepherds as part of our family and hope you'll have time to learn more about them by visiting our "Shiloh Information" page.
